It was on the 13th of December, and the night before I had gone to bed at around 11:30 pm, my usual time. But for some reason I just could not fall asleep to save my life, and ended up staying awake tossing and turning for a good three hours. I must have fallen asleep for a minimum of one hour before I woke up again. Already too frustrated, I decided to give in and stay awake, laying in bed while scrolling through Instagram. It was now around 4am, and out of curiosity I took a peak out of my window. It was snowing! I got so excited, because this winter hadn't given very much snow, and I had been pretty disappointed about it. I quickly got up, changed, grabbed my camera, and ran outside.
It was absolutely beautiful, and the snow was coming down nonstop. The best part? No one else was awake. It honestly felt like I had the entire world to myself, it felt so magical, as cheesy as that sounds. It was quiet, calming, and so beautiful. I wobbled around the snow taking as many pictures as I could before my SD card became full. One of my favorite parts was getting to watch the sky go from a grayish-black, to light purple, to blue.
Sadly, a lot of my pictures came out blurry since it was snowing so hard, and so much, and it was hard to tell how the pictures were coming out.
And my personal favorites:
I wonder how strange it might have looked like to see a teenage girl in a bright yellow coat and snow boots, trying to walk around in the thick snow and falling multiple times. Not to mention giggling every now and then out of pure joy! Haha!
Thanks for reading!
xoxo
